Mary Reed Kelly in 'History"

I watched a segment of the video "History". The artist that is highlighted in this clip is Mary Reed Kelly. She uses film and makeup to tell a story. Humor is displayed throughout her play that she produces with her family. It shows a funnier side to history of our world. Mary uses a feminist interpretation for most of her projects. She uses a green screen to show art in the background. She also tries to recreate some elements from a map that she found to create art to put in her backgrounds of her interesting videos. She said that she is motivated by how she believes that learning is important. She takes the elements of history and art and combines them and makes it fun and interesting to learn about historical events.
